“My brother directed me in a play while I was learning to play the violin,” Rhee told CNN Local Edition News Anchor Tracy Young in a record five minute  news segment. “So then I got bitten by two bugs, music and acting.”

Rhee, who is also a classically trained accomplished violinist, a certified hypnotherapist, Microsoft Systems Engineer and a black belt in the Martial Arts and has also written a screen play entitled, “Hal.” The screenplay is about an old jazz pianist, who’s suffering from Alzheimer’s in a nursing home. “My mother passed away a year and

a half ago from the disease, and I know there are a lot of actors’ parents who are currently suffering from Alzheimer’s,” explained Rhee, who is currently shopping her movie script.

When asked has it been easy to succeed in Hollywood? She responded this way, “Very, very difficult. The industry concentrates on the things I don’t do,”  explained Rhee.

Rhee’s character is Mrs. Choi (mother of the boy who massacred the Virginia Tech students and the professors a few years ago, which was in the news).

” This story is about the aftermath of this massacre and the views of each of his family,” said Rhee, “and I’m sure a lot of people remember this story.   They flew me to Virgina last year and shot this within a week.   I had to go through a lot of of soul searching to do this role.”

In upcoming film projects

Actress Alexis Rhee, who won a SAG Award for “Outstanding Performance by a Cast Member” for her work in the Oscar winning blockbuster Crash (2004) movie, has just finished shooting the trailer for ‘MATA LEAO: The Lion Killer which will be made into a full length feature film in the next few months. Rhee also plays her arranged violin piece for the trailer. “It’s so exciting to portray such an interesting woman and get to play my violin in it.” she said, and “I have so much passion for acting, playing violin, writing and all things that are creative.”

Actress Alexis Rhee has a new film called, “White T.” Rhee plays a 1920s factory worker, who completes the first white T shirt ever made. Eric Roberts and Snoop Dogg are among the cast members.

After losing their home in the housing and economy crash of 2008, a young married couple is forced to move in the wife’s parents. Once a promising, budding architect now jobless, the young husband must find a way to secure an income. His identity as “a man”, their relationship, and the future of the parent’s home hang in the balance.

She will be acting opposite Graham Beckel (L.A. Confidential, Brokeback Mountain and Joanna Sotomura (Madison County), Rob Watt (Writer of the Screenplay) and Grey Damon (True Blood) from Friday Night Lights TV series.
